Apparatus required:
- Filter paper
- Stick tape
- Distilled water
- Desiccator with water
- Drying cabinet with a constant temperature of 40°C +/- 2°C.
- Solution 1 and 2
Solution 1:
- 4.2 g/l Sodium hydrogen carbonate
- 0.5 g/l Sodium chloride
- 0.2 g/l Potassium carbonate
Solution 2:
- 4.5 g/l Sodium chloride
- 0.3 g/l Potassium chloride
- 0.3 g/l Sodium sulphate
- 0.4 g/l Ammonium chloride
- 3.0 g/l DL-Lactic acid (~90%)
- 0.2 g/l Urea
Procedure:
- Desiccator filled with water (app. 5cm) preheated at 40 degree
- Cut one sample of 90 x 120 mm out of the testing fabric
- Cut two stripes 15 x 80 mm of filter paper
- Dip one of the filter paper in solution 1 and the other in solution 2
- Put the soaked stripes of filter paper on the tested fabric with a distance of 10 mm between both filter papers
- Put the stick tape over the testing sample with filter paper
- Put the prepared sample for 2 hours at 40 degree into the desiccator

Please tell the saliva is according to which standard as you have recomended two saliva solutions.
